THINNER
Thinner (1999) is the album from the Thinner/Thicker set to play late at night. Stripped down, mostly acoustic, more of Susan's piano playing, more upright bass from Ritt, and light percussion. "Custer" muses on Gen. George's final thoughts, "Thank You Mom" is a dry-eyed gut-wrencher about Susan's suicidal mother, "Phone Call To Alice" presents the aftermath of an affair, and "When Everything Changed" notes the exact moment when love hits hard.
